Session Routine
This timetable is flexible as the children will often initiate spontaneous play themes. Therefore, this timetable is only intended as a guide to what we enjoy with the children at playgroup.

Children sit in large group for circle time. The calender and weather are also subject of conversation at this time.
09.00 - Activities - Parents bring children into the playroom where the children can choose from a selection of our activities. They are free to move from one activity to another. There are also activities (including craft activities) associated with our theme and early learning goals e.g. measuring, cooking, planting. Sometimes the children will bring home the work they do or it may be displayed at playgroup. We have free flow indoor and outdoor activities.

11.00 - Time to finish off and clear away outdoor activities.
11.20 - Circle time where children enjoy story, singing, musical instruments or discussing the day.
11.45 - Time to go Home - Parents wait outside the supervisor will open the gate and your child will be called by a staff member to ensure their safety.
Afternoon Playgroup sessions run along the same frame work as the morning sessions. Children may bring their own packed lunch for this session.
Key Workers
Your child will be allocated to a key worker from the day he / she joins Crowland Community Playgroup. You and your child will be invited to view a playgroup session. This gives you the opportunity to meet your child's key worker and for them to get to know your child. This visit is not mandatory, it is your decision whether you wish to take this opportunity. The key worker is your main contact during your child's stay at playgroup.
Observations and your child's development progress
During the duration of your childs time at Crowland Community Playgroup, staff monitor his / her development against the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. This is carried out by doing observations on your child, either on an adult led activity or by tracking your child taking part in many activities. By doing this we can follow each dhilds development progress, this means your childs individual needs being constantly met.
