About Our Playgroup

We are situated in an enclosed secure site with a large mainly undercover outdoor area with secret garden. The garden consists of bark flooring with bird table, gardening boxes, gardening equipment, child friendly green house, den and a lidded wooden sand box with sand toys and construction toys. These provide a stimulating learning environment. Our main outdoor area is undercover which consists of two walled chalk boards, mark making area, book box, sitting area with cushions, parent information table, water tray and gardening boxes with water butt. We have sole use of our building which consists of main play room which covers all the areas of development, for example

There are 4 members of staff and a student so there is always a good staff to children ratio. We do encourage parents and carers to be involved in the setting too! Playgroup offers up to 18 places at each session. This is aimed to provide a happy and stimulating environment from 2 years to school age. Crowland Community Playgroup is well established in the local community and is a charity organisation which is run by a committee made up of voluntary parents and carers who are supported by Health representatives and staff past and present. All staff and committee are police checked and have been cleared by the Criminal Records Bureau. The staff and committee work together with many fundraising and social events to engage parents, carers and most importantly the children. Our playgroup could not continue to offer such a wide range of activities for your child without raising additional funds during the course of the year. We ask each parent / carer to help with the essential work by supporting and helping us with our fundraising activities. The playgroup also operates with the Nursery Voucher Scheme for 3-4 year olds, is a member of the Pre-school Learning Alliance and is registered with Ofsted.
